"This article analyzes the current system of remuneration of professional soldiers, shows some of its shortcomings and examines whether and how the proposed system solves these shortcomings. It focuses on if the current and the proposed scheme adequately addressed differences and other conditions of service and whether there is a link to the remuneration of individual occupations in the civilian sector. The inclusion of a large number of different professions in a limited number of salary grades could lead to unbalanced situations where some professions are undervalued and others overestimated.
