"The aim of exact field trials was to verify the ability of 22 potato varieties in 5 localities to provide relatively stable tuber starch content with regard to length of growing period and amylose content in potato starch. Results show that unambiguous positive relation of growing period duration and tuber starch content was not confirmed. Simultaneously, decisive effect of relatively high tuber yield on starch content was apparent.
