"The aim of this experiment was to compare the growth of juvenile European perch reared in different stocking density in intensive aquaculture system. The experiment took 165 days and was divided into 6 periods (27-28 days in each period). Perch (13,9 +/- g), firstly adaptated to artificial diet composed by pellets, were stocked into four tanks connected with recirculation system. Tanks were divided into four parts with the net cages, each of 120 litres of water. Initial stocking density was 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2 fish per litre. Fish were fed on Biomar food with doses recommended by Mohamad (2005) like the most economic beneficial. Characteristic (survival in individual net cage, body weight (g), standard length (SL) and total length (TL), specific growth rate (SGR %.d-1) and food conversion ratio(FCR g/g)) were measured after each period.
