Even at low concentration, it could be used as therapeutic and prophylactic treatment into the water with fish. This method start to practise numbers of fisheries, however, they have no compact application knowledge. The prophylactic using of peracetic acid leads to limited application of therapeutic dengerous substances (antibiotics, antiparasitics) where the application risk could outweigh the benefits. The degradation residuals of peracetic acid are not dangerous and do not persist in fish meat.
