Establishment of DMOs in the Czech Republic at the regional and lower level is not defined by any laws or regulations. This situation raises several questions: Do DMOs in the Czech Republic, and by extension, in South Bohemia, really play a role of a destination management, or are they focused only on marketing activities, or on marketing communication? Is the financing of DMOs and tourism development generally sufficient? Does a structure of stakeholders, involved in the DMOs in the Czech Republic, correspond to organizational structures in properly functioning DMOs?
