"The topic of the article are the factors which influence the choice of further educational institutions for the students in the last grades of basic and secondary schools. The research was carried out in 2010 on the N 184 by on-line questionnaires. The results were processed by Statistics program. From the results it can be seen that the majority of the pupils chose the secondary school according to their parents' advice (45,26%) or independently (31,58% ). The university is chosen either independently or quite independently (76,89%) the most frequently used source of information for both groups are the family and friends and internet. One of the most important factors which can influence the choice of the school is %22reputation%22. This factor is the most relevant for basic school pupils (52,63%), for secondary schools students it is the second most important factor (45,90%), for this group the quality of tutoring and tutors is the most important (55,74%). To conclude this it can be said that with the respondents' age their independence is growing and their attitude to the internet is changing from entertaining applications to educational and advisory applications."@en . .
