These factors further increase pressure on the need for reliable tools to identify individual genotypes/varieties. One of these tools is the use of molecular markers, which in comparison with morphological characteristics, have high predictive value. Among the most suitable markers for the assessment of variability within varieties, and often used to characterize important traits, are microsatellites. The aim of this study was to verify the suitability of modified fluorescently-labeled primers for multiplex analysis of microsatellites in oilseed rape, where eight microsatellite primers derived from database Brassica DB were selected. Genotyping was facilitated by the use of four primer pairs labelled with different fluorescent probes, enabling efficient multiplex detection. With this modification, it was possible to significantly reduce the cost of fragmentation analysis, while maintaining the use of this marker for genetic diversity at the level of individual varieties."@en . .
