"Oat is considered to be a nutritious source of protein, carbohydrate, fibre, vitamins and minerals, and it contains minor constituents that are belived to contribute to human health and well being. Furthermore, oat has some unique functional properties that make it a useful raw material for a numer of products, especially in the food and feed. Mycological and mycotoxicological quality of samples of three cultivars of naked (Abel, Isak, Salomon) and three cultivars of covered oats (Expander, Edmund, Auron), collected at a total of four locations (Lambach, Freistadt, \u010Cesk\u00E9 Bud\u011Bjovice, Humpolec) was tested over four vegetation periods (1999-2002). The parameters used to measure the mycological duality were fugal diversity and fungal counts. Mycotoxicological quality was determinated of occurence of selected mycotoxins.
