The set consisted of data acquired on 255 pigs of original populations. The animals were measured a day before slaughterat live weight of 98 kg with PI-105 and SM-100 instruments according to a methodical procedure for determination of performance parameters. After slaughter the points of measuring were checked by measurements with slide calliper (M). The values measuredwith slide calliper between the 2nd and 3rd thoracic vertebra, i.e. back fat thickness and muscle depth, were used to calculate the percentage of lean by a regression function for FOM instrument. Average lean percentage measured by the in vivo method was 58.3 % for PI-105 and 59.86 % for SM-100. The respective values of lean percentage determined by post mortem methods, i.e. ZP method and the equation for FOM instrument, were 58.46 % and 59.11% in the whole set.
