"An interesting application of polymer composite profiles is their use as resonant lamellas for percussive acoustic musical instruments (xylophone). These lamellas are made by continual drawing composite profiles with fiber reinforcement with constant diameter (pultrusion). Properties these lamellas are evaluated by listening tests, surge tests and DMA method. Pultrusion technology is used in the production of composites profiles with matrix based on polymer reactoplastic and thermoplastic materials.
