The system utilizes a 400W fiber laser emitting at the wavelength 1070 nm. Laser beam is guided through optic fiber to cutting head, which is mounted to industrial robot. It is usable for cutting of variety of materials, including metals or plastics, of a maximum thickness several millimeters. Performance of the cut is influenced by suitable choice of process parameters, mainly a power of laser, a process speed, a distance between a material and a nozzle, the pressure of process gas.
