The proposal of the technology covers the specification of optimum processing parameters of the laser source (active diode modules, initial power and changes during processing, processing speed, laser spot width, spot overlaping, used optics) and algorithm of processing (program for control of the industrial robot trajectory and laser source switching) in relation to the material properties and three-dimensional shape of the wagon towing fork. Functionality of the technology has been verified by manufacturing of the prototype of the workpiece and by the evaluation of its properties. After the measurement of mechanical properties of the treated surface an application test of the prototype has been conducted in operation.
