"The paper describes hardware and software tools aimed at controlling technology processes, mainly in the HVAC field. The novel micro-PLC is based on the powerful STM32F4xx microcontroller with ARM Cortex-M4 core and built-in Ethernet interface. An integral part of the micro-PLC is also the development envi-ronment, which allows programming the micro-PLC on a standard desktop PC without any additional hardware equipment. The REX Control System is used for this purpose - the micro-PLC is supported as one of the target devices. The function blocks of the REX Control System cover not only the most typical tasks in control and automation, ranging from simple logic operations to PID control and signal filtering, but offer also numerous possibilities to create advanced control schemes."@en .
