The new module was integrating into existing PID tuning vitrual laboratory. The controller code was automatically generated from C original (ZA Plant Suite) into Java. Therefore the full compatibility of virtual and real controller is ensured. The applet allows to gain data directly from real-time controllers (estimated process model and controller parameters). Furter two key parameters can be specified: available bandwidth and robustness M-index. Consequently the actual performance index is evaluated and compared to the maximum achievable value which is gained from internal tables. The controller parameters can be changed interactivelly while the performance index is updated simultaneously. The lab allows to analyse all four sensitivity functions. Moreover, the time domain criterions can be also evaluated in paralel. In such a way, a controller enery can be optimized.
