These sensors are used in many fields of human activity and they produce huge volumes of data permanently. It is desired for publishing sensor measurements in world of the Internet, to allow clients accessing the sensor data through standardized interface. The goals of this paper is to describe the implementation of Open Geospatial Consortium's (OGC) Sensor Observation Service (SOS) standard that provides standardized access to sensor data. SOS uses requests and responses in XML format. It is needed to create a web service for access sensor data; web service will handle incoming requests and will create responses on them. Approach of this paper is to describe of SOS standard and creation of an SOS implementation which provides access to existing sensor database. The technology of binding XML documents on Java classes was chosen for this implementation.
