The leak can be detected by a system which consists of special permeable detection pipeline placed very close to the main transport pipeline. In defined time cycles, the air column in the detection pipeline is sucked into the transported substance sensitive sensor. In this paper the simulation of transport of the hydrocarbons from the place of leak to the sensor is presented. The dispersion effect by transport was numerically simulated in Matlab. It was made a FEM - model of the perforated detection pipeline and this model was transferred using LMS method as linear state model to Matlab. Finally the simulation was compared with the data from an experiment."@en .
