"This chapter deals with a new conception of state final examination in the framework of upgrading initial teacher training for secondary schools in concord with present situation in education. In the introduction, the focus is on historical, comparative and social bases that influence the changes in state final examination. In the next part different approaches are solved to the structuring the professional competences of teachers in the context of initial teacher training. Then the conclusions of empirical research are presented that focus on the analysis of state final examination conception at selected universities and the students\u00B4attitudes to the course and contect of these examinations.
