"This thesis deals with the relatively broad issue of wind power plants and their connecting and operation within the scope of distribution and transmission systems. Basic principles associated with the conversion of wind energy to electricity, requirements for the quality of electrical energy, the behaviour of wind power plants in term of the power system operation and unfavourable influences of these sources in local and global scale are described here. Further, modern approaches in the sphere of the structure and the operation of power systems and, in addition to this, technologies of the electricity accumulation are presented in the text of this work. One of chapters is also dedicated to the mathematical modelling of the wind power plant system, when mathematical descriptions of individual parts of this electrical energy source are built up, on the basis of physical laws, and their computer models in Simulink program are created. The model of the whole system of the wind power plant with the asynchronous generator, it means the system with constant speed, created by composition of individual parts models in Simulink environment, is also presented here. The most important part deals then with simulations of different connecting ways of this system to the electrical grid, such as the direct connection, further the connection using the external resistor or the connection via the soft starter, and also with simulations of this system operation at variable wind speed. As the next, results of connection and operation simulations of the farm of this type wind powers plants are presented and, on their basis, the brief evaluation of individual features, by which the source is characterized, for individual connecting ways and during its operation, is done."@en . . .
