After analysis of these currents we find the dominant characteristic harmonics current, but also non-characteristic harmonics and interharmonics. The article deals with the principle of non-characteristic harmonics and interharmonics, their size and influence in the electrical distribution systems. As the frequency converters are today the most used, are examples given for those converters. It also gives attention to certain contradictions between the basic theory of Fourier analysis and used terminol-ogy. The article deals also with possibilities for detection of non-characteristic harmonics and interharmonics during measuring, without these results should the physical significance."@en .
