Due to the sophisticated power-electronics, they are no more fed exclusively directly from the mains-supply but even more often they are fed by means of a conversion transducer. In that situation, various parasite influences appear, which would not happen (or would happen only to a small extent) if the machine were being fed from the mains supply. Among these parasite influences belong e.g. bearing currents, wire insulation pu ncture etc. When the machine is fed by the conversion transducer, the saturation of the magnetic circuit and consequently also the inner torque may be controlled.
