Through the conventional treatment very high strength can be reached, but the ductility drops down to lower values. Due to the heat treatment designed according to Q-P (Quenching & Partitioning) method, the strength of this steel can be improved up to 2000 MPa while keeping the ductility over 10%. The parameters of Q-P process have been optimized with respect to final microstructures and properties. The influence of various parameters on the structure development was documented by light and confocal microscopy and the resulting mechanical properties were measured. Key words: high strength steel, Q-P process."@en . . "5"^^ . "Annals of DAAAM for 2009 & Proceedings of the 20th international DAAAM symposium" . .
