"Milk freezing point (MFP) as very important polyfactorial physical property is mostly influenced by the milk composition, especially by the components, which are connected with the osmotic pressure and by the other physiological factors in animals as well. Under sure conditions it is possible to indicate a foreign water addition into milk according to MFP value. It is necessary to have a good estimated legislative discrimination limit value of MFP for such purpose. It is not fulfilled in the Czech Republic under the today actual conditions. This paper is aimed at information for possibility to improve such estimation. The different factors such as the season, the estimated state of dairy cow nutrition (in terms of the nitrogen/energy balance), the foreign water addition, pasteurization and the carbon dioxide and water steam evaporation are described in terms of the possible impacts or relationships on the milk freezing point value."@en .
