"In the paper there is evaluated the influence of three levels of intensity of utilisation (two, three and four cuts) with homogenous level of fertilising (N90 + P30K60) on yield, quality and utilisation of fodder by cattle. It was carried out a model calculation of the need of cattle herd for farming utilisation of cattle at the stated intensity of utilisation. The model calculation suggest that a four-cut system is optimal for utilisation of 0.5 mil. ha of grasslands in the CR and a herd of 250-300 thousand heads is necessary for conversion of produced forage plus a herd of young cattle. The four-cut system is more suitable also from the ecological viewpoint because on a model area of 0.5 mil. ha of grassland cattle produces less semi-liquid manure by 5.6 mil m3 in the treatment without grain and by 7.3 mil m3 in the treatment with grain."@en . .
