"Professional paper summarizes that there are a few seemingly paradoxical mutual relationships between milk quality and animal health state indicators in lactation physiology (somatic cell count, SCC; milk freezing point, MFP; urea content, U; fat content, F). It means that: 1) higher U makes better MFP, which is given by osmotical efficiency of U; 2) removing of F from milk does not influence significantly MFP because of low osmotical efficiency of F globules; 3) increasing of SCC and aggravated health state of mammary gland (e. g. subclinical mastitis) is connected with better MFP because of lactose decrease and the strong increase of salts and their efficiency for the osmotical balance; 4) higher F contents, which can be caused due to the bad milk sampling or by the milk composition laboratory manipulations, are connected mostly with high SCCs because of the physical adhesion of somatic cells to the F globules.
