The number of inhabitants in Moravian-Silesian region decreased during last twenty one years by more than fifty thousand inhabitants and this is the reason why area loses a position of the most populous region of the Czech Republic. Although the causes of population decline was found in both natural increase and migration in the area, as more serious problem appears to us a negative emigration balance. In this case is long-term progression of the region in contradiction with progression of the rest regions in the Czech Republic."@en .
