"Simulation study used the data obtained by research characterizing the quality of traffic and accidents at controlled intersections and crosswalks during the time period out of the peak hour. Subsequently were tested different scenarios for traffic-dependent switching on traffic lights. Also was tested the proposal of control logic for traffic-dependent switching on and switching off traffic signalization. The subject of simulation study was to examine different approaches to traffic signalization control during the time period out of the peak hour with real traffic flow. The study quantifies incurred delays from various controlling strategies and evaluates their appropriateness in terms of traffic flow fluency. The part of the study is a graphical speed analysis on various segments of intersection and estimation of fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. The study also includes an evaluation of different combinations of traffic flow intensity, geometric design of intersection and transport relations in the context of the effect of controlling strategies."@en .
