The arrangement of the sorter and an optical sensor for a its detector, based on pairs of infrared LED and photodiode, are described. Compact design of modules of the detector including 2-row arrangement of sensors and a connection of the module to a bus make possible easy widening of the sorter. Compensation of wide tolerance of the optoelectronic component sensitivity and their temperature dependence was resolved. Key electronic circuits of the detector are outlined in a block diagram.
