For immobilization of organic agens (simple drugs, enzymes, antidotes, polypeptides, or cells) were developed trickier procedures based on silanization. These procedures are specialised on the specific applications for public health and biotechnologies. A very important thing for reactions with appropriate alkylalkoxysilanes in the process of silanization (on the glass surfaces) is the presence of surface Si-OH groups. The result of these reactions is the immobilization (fixation via covalent bonds) of organic agens on the surface of glass substrate.
