"2"^^ . "This paper deals with simulation calculations of solidification and cooling of cast iron castings. First experiment was conducted to identify and verify the values of thermo-physical parameters that affect the stability of the casting simulation calculation of thermal processes. Experimentally measured values and simulation calculation was performed by determining the temperature field in casting molds shaped solids (plate, cylinder). On the basis of compliance were determined physical values of the heat-sand mixture (sand mould). When experiments were used to form sand mixture of bentonite (Bentonite SABENIL 550, 3.5% moisture) with dimensions 250x250x260mm, the shape of a cylinder cast \u00D840x200mm. The casting was used cast iron with spheroidal graphite (3.8% C, 2.5% Si, 0.8% Mn, 0.04% P, 0.009% S), which was cast from the temperature of 1300 \u00B0 C. Quantities of this experiment were also used for the simulation and calculation of solidification and cooling of concrete cast in the same form. For this purpose, it was the casting system consists of plates of variable thickness walls. In order to increase the melt flow rate for each test plate connected to the V-shaped boss, whose volume is equal to the volume of the plates.
