"This article deals with monitoring of dilatation changes during braking shrinking process of piston alloy AlSi12CuNiMg. Measuring equipment was constructed for this purpose. The aluminium alloy is cast to the special form which it is part of constructed measuring equipment. The main part of measuring equipment is dilatometer of polish provenience. Time dependences of dilatation changes during solidification and cooling of casts was monitored by this measuring equipment. At the same time as monitoring by measuring equipment there was monitored dilatation changes of solidification and cooling of casting by high-speed camera. This high-speed camera is part of professional constructed equipment which has commercial name ARAMIS with software IVIEW -v6.2.0-3.
