Their main advantage there is less sensitivity for allowances during adjustment and assembly. On the contrary of thin sheets, that are all above welded with resistant welding, 3 - 5 mm sheets are preffered to weld with single or double GMAW fillet lap weld. Single lap joint is more efficient and sometimes (tube) is the only solution, but the problem is load-bearing throat of fillet weld that is limited with the thickness of a sheet. One of possible solutions there is GMAW high power density process, that was still experienced with sheets min. 8 mm thick. This work is aimed to experience usability and conditions of this method for welding of acceptable and sheet-equal capacity loaded 3-5 mm sheets single lap joint fillet welds."@en . .
