This bending is a necessary part of the mounting and produces a friction force between the sinker and the wall of the groove. A contact task has been devised, to solve the tension analysis of the bent sinker after its introduction into the groove of the needle cylinder. There have been ascertained the reactions in the contact surfaces between the sinker and the groove of the needle cylinder, which have allowed to ascertain the friction forces between the sinker and the groove of the needle cylinder." . .
