"This article deals with following the wall thickness influence of the casting and the mould on dilatation properties at solidification and cooling. Castings had been gravity cast to metal mould. When castings are gravity casted to metal mould there is their shrinkage at solidification. Wall thickness of casting and of mould are influencing on solidification and cooling rate of the casting. Pure zinc and best used zinc alloys were study on these experiments. The best used zinc alloys are ZnAl4, ZnAl4Cu1 and ZnAl4Cu3.
