The interlayer is assigned together to monovalent (Na+, K+) and bivalent cations (Ca2+, Mg2+) at natural smectite types. The type of prevailing cation determines the properties and its exploitability. It is good for many applications if the interlayer positions are assigned to one cation type only. First modification research direction will be aimed at the posiibility of transforming Czech smectites to monoionic forms. Second direction will be aimed to smectite intercalation. Both intercalation by organic molecules and inorganic polycations intercalation."@en . "RIV/44569181:_____/08:#0000306!RIV09-GA0-44569181" . "[010F19D6B2A5]" . "954-91818-1-2" . . "3"^^ .
