"The objective of this paper was to introduce the new sports branch slacklining to the expert public, characterize the nature of this discipline and propose a possible use in the physical-educational process of youth and adults. The main disciplines of slacklining are lowline, rodeoline, longline, highline and waterline. Slacklining is a coordination-difficult physical activity with dominant balance skill. In practice of movements on the slackline we emphasize fixation of sight on one anchor point of the slackline, upright and straight position of head, slight lift of arms, and position of feet parallelly with the slackline. A result of the bibliographic search is that the contribution of slacklining can be in the field of prevention and therapy of injuries of locomotive organs, general development of coordination skills and a great motivation potential for young generation. With respect to a small amount of scientific researches, we see a great potential for researches of the above mentioned topics." . "Louka, Oto" . "Slacklining - a new sports discipline?" . . . . .
