"This paper deals with an experiment that was conducted at FPTM JEPU. It was grinded under certain cutting stainless steel and then has been evaluated achieved roughness of machined surfaces. In the experiment, samples were machined from the material X6 CrNiMoTi, which is stainless steel. It is chrome-nickel austenitic steel marked 1.4571 (X6CrNiMoTi) according to EN 10088-1. Samples from this material were machined with longitudinal grinding by given cutting conditions (see Table 1). Roughness parameters and surface profile were measured using a Hommel tester T1000 device according to \u010CSN EN ISO 4287 (Fig.1). The values obtained from this measurement are shown in Fig. 2 and 3. Fig. 4 and 5 are shown acquired mate-rial ratio curves of machined samples. Measurement of roundness deviation was also conducted in the laboratory of precision measuring of Faculty of Production Technology and Management. For measurement was used measuring device Hommel Tester Form 1000 (Fig.6). Fig. 7 shows an example of measuring deviations from roundness. On the Fig. 8 is a graph of deviations from roundness depending on cutting speed. . With the increase in cutting speed is reducing the size of primary plastic defor-mation and reduce stamping chips. This is caused for example by reducing the chip thickness subscribed to one grain of the grinding wheel, but also increase the heat in the cutting zone. It was therefore evaluated the effect of cutting speed on surface quality, which was obtained by creep feed grinding. It was found that an increase in cutting speed reducing any observed values, namely the surface roughness, surface profile, material ratio and deviations from roundness. The comparison of all measured parameters on surface quality is possible to say that when grinding stainless steel X6 CrNiMoTi with increased cutting speed was always an average of a positive change in the quality of the ground surface."@en .
