"The article deals with utilization of metalworking fluids (MWF) in the technological process of metalworking, which brings its advantages and negatives, mainly associated with the contamination of the working air. Aerosols of metalworking fluids represent two types of potential health risks factors - chemical and biological. Aim of this article is to characterize health risks resulting from the utilization of metalworking fluids, to approximate the mechanism of aerosols generation which contaminate the working air and to draw the attention to the problem of quantification of generated aerosols for keeping to exposure limits.
