"The permanent forest plots arranged along the altitudinal gradient of the Plech\u00FD Mt. in the Bohemian Forest were investigated during two years with the aim to describe communities of three prevailing ecological groups of macrofungi \u2013 ectomycorrhizal, saprotrophic and lignicolous species. Altogether 238 species were determined in 9 plots from 6th to 8th forest altitudinal zone. Classification of communities corresponds to the vegetation zonation, correlating with altitude, respective main substrate type (dead wood, litter of dominant tree species). Classifications using particular ecological group of species partly differ. Similar result is drawn using ordination analysis: first DCA axis correlates with altitude (substrate type), second DCA axis correlates with year of investigation.
