"Multichannel measuring unit for remote measurement of deformations: The unit provides both static and dynamic measurements of deformations with sampling rate of the order of kilohertz using number of the sensors connected through optical fibres. The unit is equipped with wideband light source. The source output is led to several measuring channels through circulator and optical switch. Sensor of the FBG (fibre Bragg grating) are connected to the individual channels. Received signal returns again through the circulator and optical switch to the spectral analysis block. Processed signal proceedes to the visualization, alarm and data archiving block. All components and processes within unit are manageable using control block fitted with the Ethernet interface. The unit can be located not only at the place of measurement but also anywhere up to tenth of kilometers due to usage of the optical fibres sensor interconnection.
