"Company performance management should proceed in consonance with sustainable development principles. One of the prerequisites of sustainable development is a company strategic planning. Notwithstanding occasional questioning principles of strategic planning in current turbulent environment it is worth stressing that strategic planning still plays a decisive role in company prosperity management. Chemical industry, due its enormous fixed assets furnishing, is excessively sensitive to right strategic decisions. Any enlargement of products portfolio, increase in production capacity as well as implementation of innovations shall be primarily observed and assessed from strategic point of view. Therefore corporate strategy shall be given highest priority. Corporate strategy elaboration should observe systemic approach so that the company can develop proportionally within available sources constraints.
