"The found results showed a clear effect of grazing intensity (the number of grazing cycles) on the production of biomass in permanent grassland. In the studied areas there was evaluated the ratio of grass, clover and herbs relative to production capability. The optimum ratio of clover seems to be 30-50%. There is a higher content of amino compounds in the pasture with higher ratio of leguminose and its quality gets worse with the higher number of pasture cycles (PC). In the first PC there is 140-200 g per kg of dry matter. In the next cycle 180-300 g per kg of dry matter according to pasture management. Concentration of energy in the first PC is 6.2-6.7 MJ NEL.kg-1 of dry matter and in the next cycles decreases to 5.1 MJ NEL.kg-1 of dry matter. In the grazing period there is the content of amino compounds similar to concentration of energy.
