"We investigated the occurrence of food pathogens Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, E. coli O157 and Listeria monocytogenes in bulk tank milk samples collected from ecological (n=13) and conventional (n=32) dairy farms. Our results showed that food pathogens occurrence was lower for ecological farms, except for S. aureus. For conventional dairy farms, B. cereus and S. aureus were detected in 9 (28.1%), E. coli in 14 (43.8%), and L. monocytogenes in 3 (9.4%) of those farms, respectively. E. coli O157 was not isolated from milk in conventional farms. For ecological farms, B. cereus was identified in 2 (15.4%), S. aureus in 5 (38.5%), and E. coli in 2 (15.4%) cases, respectively, while L. monocytogenes and E. coli O157 were not isolated from this type of farm."@en .
