Chosen strains of this species can also bring a certain positive impact on human health. Several Lbc. plantarum strains from the Collection of dairy microorganisms Laktoflora\u00AE potentially with probiotic properties were chosen for testing the growth and biochemical properties. Obtained data can be used as source of information for possible further applications of tested strains in functional foods. The results of testing showed the good growth ability of Lbc. plantarum in plant-based media. The highest cell number were determined for the strain CCDM 375 after cultivation in the oat substrate (3,8.108 CFU.ml-1) and for the strain CCDM 147 after cultivation in the rice substrate (6,9.108 CFU.ml-1) and in the soybean substrate (3,8.108 CFU.ml-1).
