The consequence could be prolongation of technological procedure or also economic losses depending on the extent of phage attack. This problem is a topical issue nowadays and due to this reason, problem of bacteriophage contamination was a target also in dealing with research project MSM No. 2672286101. Within above mentioned project, a certified methodology was developed. The aim of this methodology was to point out some of the most critical places in cheese, quark and fermented products processing and to give comprehensive information about the methods of phage determination. In the methodology, important steps to avoid phage contamination during processing in order to minimize economic losses are included."@en .
