"Production of pure iron in a vacuum induction furnace is an essential expectation for the development and research of each iron-based alloys.Pure iron is meant steel with very low carbon content to 0,01% and the other accompanying substances. Basic metal during the melting process, is divested of all impurities and dissolved gases to a level where in fact do not affect the alloy. This can be achieved with suitable master alloy long melt process under high vacuum and high temperature, in which goes to a carbon boil and to reduction of the carbon content and also to the cleaning of the melt. The action of the vacuum and high temperature is the reduction of elements content in the master alloy to a minimum. This way can be achieved of a chemical composition of the metal, which is the basis for further suitable combinations of various alloying elements and research of their mechanical and other properties (for example, the influence of Cr, Ni and Moa, etc.)."@en .
