. . "The aim of this study is selecting appropriate analysis to assess the real impact of persistent organics pollutants in the environment. We focused on PAHs and PCDDs/Fs. These pollutants have toxic effect, they are cumulative in the environment, they subject to long-range transport and they resistant to degradation. Many of them are carcinogenic, teratogenic and they form a group of priority pollutants listed by US EPA. We chose samples with different concentrations of POPs. We performed chemical and microbiological analysis and ecotoxicity tests. We use Lactuca sativa, Eisenia fetida, Vibrio fischeri, Desmodesmus subspicatus, Daphnia magna.
