"Typical feature of slags from secondary metallurgy is volume instability. Part of slag after cooling is disintegrated into very fine dust. Reason for this consists in phase changes during normal, it means not accelerated cooling. This paper deals with industrial experiments of accelerated cooling of slags. Slag was poured on cooling steel stool with installed thermocouples. Temperature was measured and then temperature gradients and heat flux densities in the cooling steel stool were calculated.
