These include inter alia, design, production, marketing, distribution and user support. The global value chain is unique in that its individual parts are divided between different companies and scattered in space. Key role in this process play the multinationals, whose influence extends through foreign direct investment. Globalization of value chain is reflected in the fragmentation of production processes across countries and on the one hand it brings an opportunity for companies in emerging markets to gain market share due to its specific competitive advantage and on the other hand, put huge pressure on efficiency for businesses that are part of these chains. At the macroeconomic level, the greatest impact is on increasing the dynamism of international trade, especially with intermediates. But it is in a globalized environment much more difficult to identify the national value added, because the global nature of the profits.
