A mathematical model for calculation of biological processes has been developed for application with one and two reactor MBBR configuration including hybrid application with recycle of activated mixture and secondary settling tank. The model enables simulation of transport and biochemical processes in biofilm, as well as in activated sludge. For correct usage, there is necessary model calibration and verification with lab/real data.
