"The lines of spring barley with hulless grain (KM1771, KM2001, KM2062, KM2092 and VKM2074) were developed using the method of combination hybridization of our own genetic resources of spring barley with hulless grain with productive cultivars and breeding lines of two-row spring barley. These advanced breeding lines are uniform in morphological traits and characterized by genetically determined hulless grain, spring seasonal type, differentiated level of productivity and resistance to fungal diseases, and increased content of important nutrients (N-substances, starch and/or beta-glucans) as much as by 45% in comparison with standard cultivars. The lines developed are eligible for further use in breeding or solving research problems of spring barley with hulless grain for direct food or feed purposes.
